5 INSIGHTFUL QUESTIONS

I.

Your identity is largely a collection of stories. These are narratives about who you've been, who you are, and who you're becoming.

There are a million things that have happened to you, so why did you decide on these particular stories instead of countless other possible versions?

II.

No matter how positive or complete your stories feel, they cannot contain the entire truth of who you are.

Stories, by definition, reduce a world of possibility into a single narrative that is focused on what’s believed to be important.

III.

Every story carries hidden values and meanings that shape your experience. These weren't consciously chosen but were instead the byproduct of your subconscious mind.

IV.

By their very nature, stories are limitations that focus experience and create the very reality they describe. In this way, we live out the stories we believe to be true.

V.

All stories eventually feel suffocating because they reduce the infinite mystery of your being into a finite narrative.

And since all stories come to an end, identifying with them guarantees suffering when they inevitably change or dissolve.
