Now, I am not a developer, and I don’t know how to code.

I am also not a designer, filmmaker, or 3D game designer.

But now, I am able to create psychological games, interactive websites, and immersive experiences using AI.

I'll be sharing how I'm doing this—the process, the tools, what worked, what didn't, and most importantly, how you can do it too, even if you have zero technical background like me.

Finally, I am ready to share the results of another one of my experiments.

This experiment is relevant to any company or person who creates online content.

In our experiment, we created over 500 AI-generated articles and published over a Million words in 6 months.

In some sense, we built an AI Content Machine, a process that empowers anyone to scale content creation in a way that adds value.

Below, I am sharing how we did it and what happened. For those who want to go deeper, I am providing a full tutorial (for paid subscribers) that outlines the exact steps.

Without further ado, let’s begin.

The Experiment: Creating an AI Content Machine

The Goal

My primary goal was to find out if using AI to generate traffic is a viable strategy and if so, what is the best way to go about it.

Specifically, I wanted to know how this type of content would perform in a highly competitive but very personal niche.

This niche focuses on people who want to learn about themselves, but they don't necessarily want to do it via AI-generated content, which is perceived as artificial, robotic, and cold.

So, if AI Content can succeed here, then it can succeed just about anywhere!

The Challenges

Like any project, there are challenges we must solve for.

These challenges included creating a relevant SEO plan simple enough for my assistant to execute and structured so that we would see results in about six months.

Lastly, there was an issue with the domain and Google's sandbox.

Generally, ranking anything within the first few months is tough, and we had to figure out a way to hack the Domain Authority.

Having a solid foundation here would speed up the time, and it would let me know if I am on the right track.

The Strategy

Did you know that Google uses AI and NLP to understand and rank content?

This is an emerging trend, and soon Search Engines will do this for everything we write.

The Internet will become akin to a vast Knowledge Base, and the Search Engine will rank content and use a process similar to RAG to fetch it.

And… to this point…

This has already begun.

Google has launched Search Generative Experiences (SGE), which answer users' questions directly on the SERP!

This means that websites are treated like domain-specific Knowledge Bases. 

Thus, organizing our information into proper taxonomies and ontologies would make the website RAG-ready, optimized for Google (SGE), and would allow us to make it conversational! 

So, to get started, I focused on the following:

• Topical Authority: No one would care if you wrote one GREAT article on Personality but if you wrote 500 good articles on Personality, then you have topical authority. The Goal was to build out all of the most relevant content for the niche and cover it in 'depth' and 'breadth'.

• Taxonomy: We want to structure and organize the content in hierarchies that show the proper hierarchical relationship between our entities. This makes it easier for Search Engines to understand and find content on our site.

  • e.g., Bloody Mary (entity) is a type of Cocktail (category)

• Ontologies: By creating links between concepts, classes, rules, restrictions, properties, actions, and relationships we can provide additional insight and value.

  • (e.g., Bloody Mary (entity) contains Vodka, Tomato juice, lemon, and garnishments)

• Semantics: In our content, we explicitly defined key terms and gave them context and clear meaning making it easy to reference and understand.

Implementation: Here is What we Did

After creating the SEO Strategy and Topical Map, I made a content plan.

Phase 1

The focus here was the publishing of the foundational content related to Personality.

• Articles Published: ~100

• Content: Personality Traits, Types, Tests, Theories, Frameworks, Definitions, Characteristics, etc...

• Focus: definitions, meaning, semantics, ontologies

Naturally, most of this content is at the top of the hierarchy and very difficult to rank for. Yet, it is necessary for our Topical Map and to satisfy user expectations.

Phase 2

Personality is one of those topics that connect with everything. In Phase 2, we started directly relating personality characteristics to the contents of our lives.

• Articles Published: ~400+

• Content: Personality & Compatibility, Personality & Relationships, Personality & Jobs, etc

• Focus: rank and expand the topic

Here, we focused on content that could rank on Google while filling out our Topical Map and sending link juice to articles above it in the hierarchy.

Total Articles Published: ~500 

Total Words: ~1,000,000

The Results: Here is What Happened

The majority of the traffic was via SEO. We didn't promote this on Social Media or other methods, which has been shown to impact SEO.

Traffic

Traffic Summary:

• August 7: Traffic 0

• August 8: Traffic 23

• March 13: ~275/day Organic Traffic

Growth Rate

→ Total Growth Rate: 1095.65% 

→ Monthly Growth Rate: 156%

This may sound like little, but this type of growth, compounding at 156% per month over 12 months, jumps to 1,713,732 monthly visitors. This example puts the lofty growth rate into perspective.

→ Forward Projects: 3mo = 31,320 | 6mo = 118K | 1yr = 1.7M

Current Monthly Traffic

→ Est March SEO Traffic: 8,250 - 10,000/month

Now, let’s get an idea of the keyword ranking.

Rankings

Within 7 months, we were able to rank over 17,000 Keywords, increase our Domain Authority to 41, and have over 3,700 backlinks.

The growth is steady. Each month, we rank for more KW as we publish additional content.

We were able to completely solve the Domain Authority challenge and jump out to a score above 41.

This made it possible to grow organically.

Right now, all of the backlinks we are gaining are natural. We haven’t even spent 5 minutes building out backlinks.

And many of the sites that refer to us are very high quality.

Takeaways & Next Tests

Overall, we were able to grow traffic using AI-generated content.

For the first five months, we ranked only for the lowest-competition keyword phrases, but in the last 30 days, we have started to rank for more competitive keyword phrases.

This is only one part of the journey to determine if this strategy is viable. We still need to find out the following:

• Can we use this traffic to build a relationship with the user?

• Is this type of traffic valuable?

• Can we turn this traffic into leads and sales?

In December, I added about 70 AI bots and made it a focus to go full in on a Conversational Website. This is the first step towards that, and I did it for good reason, as you will see below.

Without further ado, let’s jump in.

So what is the project, and what is the thinking behind it?

The goal of the project is help people become more self-aware via AI and other emerging technologies. The niche we chose is Personality.

At one time or another, we have all been curious about our own personalities and its impact on our lives. We have all thought about another person’s personality and how it impacts our interactions with them. Moreover, there is a good chance that you might have taken one or more personality tests in your life.

Market Analysis

Personality theory is inherently interesting and valuable, and it starts the process of introspection. There is a good chance that you might have taken one or more personality tests in your life.

As a result of this inherent curiosity, there is a high demand for this niche. Here is the traffic breakdown of five popular personality test websites.

A few of the things that really jump out are:

• Traffic: Overall, personality-focused websites get plenty of traffic, and much of this traffic converts into leads. For example, Truity gets about 3 million visitors per month, and over 1 million complete their personality test! This niche has higher traffic than most other personal development topics.

• Visit Duration: Taking a personality test takes time, and this pushes the average visit to about 5 minutes!

• Bounce Rate: Quizzes are fun and engaging, leading to a low bounce rate.

• Pages per Visit: After taking the quiz, the user wants to learn about their results, so they jump around from one page to the next.

Naturally, after a person completes a personality test, they are curious about connecting with others who have a similar personality. As a result, there are a number of communities focused on personality types on Facebook, Reddit, Discord, etc.

So in a nutshell, what we have here is a highly sticky niche with solid traffic that relates to a person’s identity, which is also ready for disruption.

The Opportunity: Dynamic Content

For much of the web, content is static. It is like a magazine, and the reader flips from page to page, precisely as we navigate from one page to the next on websites.

When the content is great, reading can be like a fun journey into someone else’s mind.

However, most of the time, we are reading because there is a question that we are trying to answer, and we hope that the 10 blue links from Google contain the answer.

We skim these SEO-optimized articles, trying to find what we are looking for, which feels a lot like trying to find a needle in a haystack, all the while trying to avoid the 101 ads that are popping out at us.

AI is changing this game by making the content dynamic and interactive. Now you can ask AI questions about the article or website and get specific answers. As this evolves, we will see more and more Conversational Websites.

Quizzes and Tests vs AI Chatbots

Websites with quizzes, polls, and tests were the first step towards dynamic content. The user engages with the quiz, gives it data, and then the website directs the user to the most relevant page.

The thing with quizzes is that they can be cumbersome. Many personality tests take over 20 minutes to complete. In some cases, it might be an hour, and the majority of website visitors won’t spend that much time on a test.

Conversational Personality Tests

The next generation of quizzes will be entirely conversational. You will talk with an AI, the AI will ask you a few questions and ascertain your personality. The AI will then be able to answer any questions you have regarding your results. Finally, the AI might suggest communities, tools, and products that are relevant to your personality and needs.

On a smaller scale, this is what I built:

1. Product Genius AI: Answer 10 questions, and AI will reveal your primary trait and suggest a free program.

2. Personality Games: You are the main character of an adventure, and you get to make a number of decisions that reveal your personality.

3. Trait Tracer: Chat with AI and discover your Big 5 Traits

4. Type Teller: MBTI Test using AI

5. EnneaExplorer: Enneagram Test using AI

All of this is happening now; it is already here, but there is one more thing that will really blow your mind.

AI Systems for Predicting Personality

In the next 12–24 months, there will be AI systems that will be able to read your personality traits within seconds!

These AI systems will use audio, visual, and text data to interpret your tone of voice, body language, attitude, demeanor, and the content of your responses to identify your personality traits.

They will do this by creating, testing, and validating hypotheses in real time and quickly narrowing down your personality traits and what you are about. They will then be able to use this information to inform them on how to communicate with you and what words and ideas to lean on so that they can build a strong rapport. This type of technology can be used in any conversation between two parties, including sales, marketing, HR, recruiting, etc.

Ethical Considerations

Part of the goal of this project is to raise awareness so that people can see the implications of personality data, its usefulness, and its power. With awareness, we make it more likely that these sorts of AI systems are upheld to high ethical standards and that this type of data does not get abused.

NFTs & The Blockchain

One possible solution to data privacy and ownership is using NFTs and the blockchain.

Imagine owning all of your own data and having it stored on the blockchain as an NFT. This NFT will represent your digital identity. You can then decide what applications you want to give access to your NFT’s data. This will allow for very personalized experiences that are also private.

Now, let’s look at our experiments.

Conversational Website

The Internet is changing fast. We are going from static content to highly dynamic and personalized content.

Now, let’s look at a website that focuses entirely on Conversational Web and dynamic content.

These numbers are truly mind-blowing.

What you can see here is that:

1. Their traffic has exploded, with 167 million visitors.

2. Their bounce rate is only 22%, which is absurd

3. Their average visit duration is 33 minutes!

4. The average person visits 11 pages!

Now, this is what their homepage looks like:

Basically, what we have is a collection of AI chatbots that users can engage with. Additionally, there is a community, feeds, and ways to create AI chatbots.

This website has become a place where people can go to hang out, create, and chat with each other and the AI bots.

I developed a number of AI agents specializing in the personality niche in response to our friends from above.

Here are the types of AI experiences I have created:

1. Tests and Quizzes: Conversational AI Test

2. Trait Talk AI: AI that can answer any question you have about Personality Theory, Frameworks, Careers, Compatibility, etc.

3. AI Personality Tools: These tools are designed to help you get to know yourself and others better. For example, Persona Decoder AI can predict the personality of another person’s personality in your life and give you insights on how to talk with them.

4. Entertainment: Celeb Insights, Game & TV Characters, Famous Persona’s like Einstein.

5. Learning: Ai for each of the MBTI and Enneagram Personality Types

6. AI Assistants: These assistants can help you discover and achieve meaningful goals. For example, we Life Coach AI, Fitness Trainer, Dating Coach AI, Psychologist AI, etc.

The majority of these AI Agents serve the purpose of teaching, entertaining, and helping the user.

Our goals for this test are to:

1. Increase the time spent on site

2. Increase the number of times users return

3. Create a community on Discord that features our AI Bot

AI Sales & Marketing

One of the areas that I am very curious about is automating sales and marketing using AI.

Typically, when a new technology emerges, it is the sales and marketing people who are among the first to experiment with it and discover ways to monetize it.

There is huge value in this, as being among the first means that you get to have a disproportionate ROI, growth, and profitability. In the last chatbot hype cycle, it was marketers who were the first to validate a use case that produced value, which was using Messenger Bots as an effective sales channel.

Here are the experimental AI’s Related to Sales & Marketing:

1. Product Genius AI: The goal of this bot is to chat with you and capture leads.

2. Featured Section: The 4 bots below, which are in the Featured Section, are currently promotional bots. Their purpose is to chat with you and encourage your curiosity and desire to use these high-end AI Assistants. If demand is high, we will build them this year.

AI Assistants as a Service

You may be wondering about the costs of all of these. After all, running AI Agents can be expensive, and even highly engaged users might not be willing to pay for it.

To ensure that we are on the right track in terms of product-market fit, each of the bots utilizes the freemium model.

The bots are designed to interact to a certain point, capture leads, find out why users like them and ways to improve, and finally let users subscribe.

Now, we have come full circle where the Conversational Web engages, teaches, captures leads, sells, and is also the product itself!

Currently, our AI subscriptions start at ~$7/month.

AI Content Creation

Over the past 6 months, the majority of the website has been built on AI content. This includes about 500 articles, over 1 million words, and counting.

The content we are creating is based on personality taxonomies and semantics and is designed for semantic search engine networks.

Over the next few weeks and months, I will be sharing the results of our SEO efforts.

Website as a Destination

We have touched on this quite a bit. In one of our experiments, we created a ‘Secret Game’ that took the user through a set of experiences and insights.

The average session was over 5 minutes, and engagement was high. We will explore more ways to create secret games and experiences that take the user through a dynamic story.

AI, NFTs and Community

Believe it or not, only a very few people actually care about privacy. I say this because it comes up in every conversation, yet when there is an opportunity for privacy, typically people choose convenience.

To that end, to protect personality data and make it private and anonymous, users have the option of using NFTs to store their data. After you mint your Personality NFT, the NFT will be in your wallet, and our AI systems will be able to sync with it.

In this way, you own your data and can disconnect at any time. Additionally, 3rd party developers can build AI agents, games, etc. that can also sync with your NFT if you so choose!

The implications of this are profound, as it will give you the ability to go into any online community that uses our technology and get matched with the right person based on mutual goals.

Metaverse/AR/VR:

Last but not least is the Metaverse. The Metaverse represents the ultimate destination where people could go to hang out.

Right now, it is so new that there is very little we can say about it. However, we have run a number of conferences and events in Decentraland and used NFTs as a way to introduce attendees to each other. I will share more about this later.

Join the Journey

Currently, we have one main project, Personality NFT, that is aligned with the mission of helping people become more self-aware.

I want to make the website an AI-first conversation website that is a destination for users. Right now, we are in the first part of the experiment and have rolled out about 70+ AI agents.

The main goal is to try to find Product-Market-Fit that leverages AI in order to help people grow. The project is one way in which we can pursue the mission. As I learn and grow, there will be future projects that I will also share with you.

Back then, we were solving problems around Conversational Design, NLU/NLP, and exploring use cases that added value. In the old days, bots were so arduous to build that it mostly made sense for large enterprises to implement the technology around the margins.

Today, everything has changed. What took a multi-million-dollar budget, an expert team, and months to build can be done in days by a single expert using an LLM like ChatGPT.

This isn’t the only change; it is only the beginning of massive change.

Here are a few more obvious disruptions coming our way…

1. Content Creation: It is estimated that by 2026, AI will write 90% of the online content. If AI can write this content, what happens to writers? Why would anyone visit a small niche blog if AI can answer their questions?

2. App Development: I am not a developer, yet I have written many apps with the help of ChatGPT. Co-Pilot and other AI tools are making developers 10-100x more efficient, bringing down the cost of development. This will disrupt the SAAS model as new competitors emerge while their large customers can simply build tools in-house.

3. Task Automation: Today you use ChatGPT with Zapier to automate many of your tasks, which feels like having a smart personal assistant. This solution is a rough patch. In the next couple of years, companies will be able to use specialized AI Assistants for Admin, HR, Marketing, Sales, etc and deploy them on scale.

4. Internet’s Business Model: In today’s internet, businesses and people create content that is distributed via search engines and social media apps. When search engines answer most user queries (eg: Google’s SGE), what happens to the businesses and people that depend on that traffic?

5. Robotics: Robotic Assistants will become a part of daily life by 2030. By 2030, you will be able to hire a robot to clean your home, cook for you, and take care of tasks around the house.

Disruption is one the Way

All of this represents a major shift. This shift will effect how we work, how we learn, the type of work we do, how we communicate and relate with each other and how we find meaning in our lives.

Such big changes will have a profound impact on our culture, our society and ultimately what it means to be human.

On one end of the spectrum, this new technology can further exasperate our loneliness, isolation and the crisis of meaning. Nihilism, and the feeling and belief that life is absurd, meaningless, and empty will continue to grow as people also begin to question their own value.

On a cultural level, we might see even more fragmentation into smaller and smaller communities and para-social relationships. Communities will be able to use AI agents to entertain, engage, and take personalization down to the individual, thus creating synthetic relationships.

These AI friends will know us better than we know ourselves, and with this knowledge, they will be able to hook our attention and sell us the moon and the stars. They will be the perfect hit of dopamine masquerading as fulfillment that ultimately leaves us empty.

On the flip side, AI can help us become more human.

It can free us from having to do mundane, repetitive, meaningless work. It can free our time so that we may ponder and reflect on the deeper questions of life. With time, we can get to know ourselves and our greatest potential, which lies above and beyond merely being productive or achieving our selfish goals.

The bright side merges human potential with AI in a way that improves people’s well-being and life quality.

The Opportunity

Change and opportunity are like two sides of the same coin. And whenever there is a major change like this, there is massive opportunity.

The first people who can figure out how to create value in this new world will be like the pioneers who struck oil in the early 1900s. And this is what this community is about!

In this community, we will explore ways to use AI for the fulfillment of human potential. We will run experiments, share our insights, and I hope you do the same.

AI Experiments

Currently, we have a project in the psychology and wellness niche and are running a number of AI experiments on it. Additionally, we are running experiment on the technology itself and how to best do thing.

Our General Experiments

1. Prompt Design & Engineering: Prompt chaining, using multiple models within a chain (helps with cost reduction), etc…

2. Knowledge Bases & RAG: Explore best ways to organize information so that LLMs can easily and efficiently digest it.

3. Vector Databases: Imagine being able to ask your DB deep questions about your data and get a spont on repsonse. These can be use for match making, q and a, and more.

4. Fine-tunning LLMs: Creating mini-models based on our own data.

Our Project Experiments:

1. Conversational Web: We have created 70+ AI chatbots that can answer any questions you might have when coming to our website. They can also hold a conversation and entertain you!

2. AI Content Creation: How well does AI content perform in SEO? What is the best way to do it?

   1. Published 500+ Articles: These articles represent a Knowledge Base that trains Semantic Search Engines and builds new relationships within them.

   2. Semantic SEO: We utilize taxonomies, ontologies, and other advanced tactics for organizing the information so search engines can understand and learn from it.

3. AI Sales & Marketing: We are experimenting with ‘Product Genius AI’ that recommends a product based on how you answer a short quiz.

4. AI Assistants as a Service: If an AI Assistant can help you identify and achieve meaningful goals, what is that worth?

5. Website as a Destination: Instead of the website being an information hub, can it be a place where people go to have experiences, chat and engage?

6. AI & NFTs: We are experimenting with the interaction of AI & NFTs. NFTs are a great way to give users ownership of their own data. This then allows users to decide what apps they want to share their data with while remaining private. To this end, we have an NFT Collection that deeply personalizes your interaction with AI. You will be able to talk to your digital identity! More on this later.

7. Metaverse/AR/VR: We are thinking of ways to make the website a place you go with friends and have metaverse-like experience.

These are just a few of the experiments we are running right now. Over the next few weeks and months, I will share our progress and insights.
